You Found me

You found me at a time when I was falling apart

And truth be told, I still am

I want to desperately pull myself together

Terrified by the realization that pieces have been lost

Leaving voids that will remain bare

Accepting the reality that I may

never be whole again

A monochromatic version

A fading memory of the bright colors that once filled my world

Broken down to light strokes of graphite on paper

Piecing myself together while simultaneously losing hold

Allowing you to see the uneven shapes

The imperfections

My unfinished work

Inspired by pain

Sadness

Curiosity

Strokes of bold lines

Color

Texture

You found me at my redesign

I welcome you to my permanent exhibition
